2023年終わり・・・大晦日の晦！？

ご無沙汰しておりました。

私はクライアントの休みに合わせて、結構早めから年末年始休暇に入りました。

今年のカレンダーでは30日が土曜日だったため、30日もお休みでしたが、平日だった場合は31日からの休みです。大晦日から三が日までが決まった休暇日です。

今年は本当あっという間でしたね。特に秋口ぐらいからの時の流れが早すぎて、あまり記憶がないですわ・・・

そして大晦日の晦ってみなさん、かけますか？

改めて見ると意味わからない字ですよね。

私も気になったので調べましたが、「つごもり」とも読めるそうで、旧暦の最後の月の日を表すそうです。

大という形容詞がついていますが、その年の最後の晦だから大晦日というのでしょうか。

普段使っている言葉も、案外知らないことも多いですね。

来年はもっと英語力を強化！まずわかりやすいところで言えば、3月末までにTOEIC800点を目指すぞ！

Long time no see.

I took my year old and new year holidays quite early to align with the client's break.

Since december 30th fell on a Saturday on this year's callendar, it was a day off,but 

typically,it had been a weekday,the holiday period would have started from the 31th.

It's set as a vacation period from New Year's Eve to the third day of January.

This year has truly flown by,hasn't it?Especially from around the beginning of autumn,time seemed to pass by so quickly that I don't recall that...

And on New year's Eve ,do you all use '晦'？

When you look at it again,It's character that's hard to understand, right?

I was curious about it too,so I looked it up.It seems to refer to the last day of the lunar  calendar ,read as'tugomori'.

It's surprising how many thing we don't know about the words we use everyday,isn't it?
